Why You Should Support This Initiative
The United State Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention reported that allowing just one youth to leave school for a life of crime and of drug abuse costs society $1,700,000 to $2,300,000 annually. This says nothing about the devastating effects this has on family members and others. In 1974 Congress enacted the Juvenile Justice Reformation Act, which was re-authorized in 2018, to address Juvenile Incarceration. Unfortunately, very little has been done to fully implement the requirements of this law since its inception in 1974 necessitating all the various re-authorizing including the 2018 Act.
The Act focuses on providing protection for Juveniles while incarcerated and unfortunately, does not provide for their post-release support. Statistics show that the recidivism (re-arrest) rate for young adults’ ranges between 52-80%.
Dr. Khanna sees this as an issue and addresses it with the launch of his Post Incarceration Juvenile Justice Reformation Act Initiative. Dr. Khanna is collaborating with Voice of The Kids, Inc. on this Initiative. The goal is to provide post-incarcerated young adults with housing, training, and the required medical and psychological assistance needed to secure a job, build their career, and greatly improve their lives.
Government statistics shows the suicide rates among juveniles are significantly higher than any other group, at a rate of 32 suicides per 100,000 inmates. This is because these young adults have lost hope for the future. Let us jointly rebuild their hope and life.
We need your financial support to assist us in helping keep them out of a life of repeated crimes. Please help us by clicking here to donate.

Where Your Support Goes
In order to make this Initiative work, we need to secure and maintain facilities, provide room and board, and other necessary amenities for these post incarcerated young adults. Our goal is to make each post incarcerated young adult feel important and needed as part of society. This will help them to remain off the street, out of a life crime, into a job, and to a better life.
We request you to financially assist to turn these young adults’ life around. Your assistance will fund the estimated $6,000 monthly cost per young adult. We are planning that each participant will need six months to have a secured job and a structured life. Further, your assistance will support to build their independence after this six-month period.
Please make a life changing difference in a young person’s life. All your financial contributions are tax deductible, Voice of the Kids, Inc., a 501(c) (3) organization (EIN#: 84-2201028).
